During the second half of 2025, there were 1,769 hail storms reported across the United States. The largest hail recorded was 4.5" in South Dakota.

The most active states for hail during this period were Kansas (205 reports), Nebraska (176 reports), Colorado (176 reports), South Dakota (168 reports) and Minnesota (115 reports). Kansas led the nation with the highest storm activity during the second half of 2025.
