During the second half of 2023, there were 4,031 hail storms reported across the United States. The largest hail recorded was 5.25" in Colorado.

The most active states for hail during this period were Nebraska (421 reports), Minnesota (375 reports), Colorado (357 reports), Kansas (355 reports) and South Dakota (300 reports). Nebraska led the nation with the highest storm activity during the second half of 2023.
